ABOUT US
The purpose of this organization is to examine the influence of gender in the nursing profession. Through active involvement in volunteerism and activities both on and off-campus, this organization strives to develop community, leadership, and professional skills. The organization serves as an opportunity to educate and celebrate the nuanced experiences of all nurses. This purpose does not contradict the University’s mission or its Catholic, Jesuit character.

Advocacy
As current nursing students and future nurses, we understand the value of using our voices to advocate for what is right. By speaking up for our patients’ needs and honoring their requests and concerns, we are patient advocates. However, advocacy does not end when we remove our scrubs and leave the floor after a shift; it continues on outside of our work as we continue to speak up and call attention to the various injustices we see in the world. To that end, we hope to aid our members in finding their voice to speak up and advocate not just for their patients, but for a safer and more just world.
